FC Greater Boston Bolts conducts open tryouts each year for all of our boys and girls teams. Tryouts are usually held in late May/early June for both Boys and Girls from U-10 to U-18.  However, players are always welcome in our club.  Please contact us if you are interested in trying out for a Bolts team any time of year!

The mutual commitment between a player and the Club lasts for one year. At the conclusion of the season (usually June depending on Cup status and the particular age group), open tryouts will be held. Selection to a team one year does not guarantee that player a place on the team the following year. Tryouts are held every year to allow teams to replace players who have dropped off or have moved on. Tryouts also allow hardworking and ambitious players, not currently with the Club, who have improved their playing ability, to join stronger or more competitive teams in the FC Greater Boston Bolts.

The announcement of annual tryouts will be made via our website at www.fcgreaterboston.com and in our club newsletter the Insider. The dates, time and venues as well as the number of tryouts will be determined by the Head Coach of each age group and the Director of Coaching. They determine the tryout format.  Upon completion of the tryout, you will be notified within 3 days as they select the final roster. Please be sure to enter a valid email as the primary contact in the online registration.  In order to accept the roster spot you will be required to make a deposit either by check or online credit card payment.

Before attending the tryouts sessions, we ask you to complete the online Tryout Registration

• The email address and phone number that you enter into the online system is how coaches will contact you so be sure it is one that you check frequently
• You will receive an email receipt upon completion of the tryout registration
